In 2018, with Earth's destruction imminent, governments take decisive action, evacuating world leaders and relocating them to the International Moon Base. For a desperate population, confectionary giant Mars hastily organise a global raffle, offering seats on board self-sufficient, twin-manned interplanetary resettlement capsules ('recaps') in the hope of finding hospitable planets in far flung corners of the galaxy. Now mankind's very existence may depend on Mark Brenton and Christopher Bolt: the two dimwitted competition winners who found a golden ticket in their Twix.
