About

HPBL's journey began way back in 1984, then known as Gopala Polyplast Limited. They hit the ground running, even getting listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange by 1995. That's some serious achievement! But as many businesses do, they faced some rough patches down the road. In 2019, HPBL encountered some financial difficulties. Now, this is where things get interesting. India has this brilliant program called the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, or IBC for short. It's basically designed to give struggling companies a fighting chance.

And that's exactly what happened with HPBL. Enter Plastene India Limited, a big name in the FIBC industry – that's Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers, for those not familiar. They saw the potential in HPBL and in 2020, submitted a plan to revive the company. This plan got the green light, and guess what? HPBL was back in business!
