Reggie Ponder, The Reel Critic, reviews the latest movies. As a film critic for 91.1 FM Chicago/Vocalo.com for over a decade, Reggie brings his own brand of movie discussion to the podcast world. Have you ever noticed how film critics like movies the masses don’t and dislike movies the masses like? Well Reggie considers himself part of the masses who just so happens to have a platform. It’s not film criticism (holding his nose to signal he might be above the commoner); It’s movie discussion. Yes, this podcast is a monologue but it is designed to create a dialogue. Reggie will talk about what the movie is about, the stars, celebrities, director and producers, what’s to like, what’s not to like and how he rates the film. His “Musings” section will explore issues that makes him go hmm? And Reggie will periodically add a section "Ponder This" to highlight issues that people of color may have noticed and how the Hollywood might have done a great job of addressing diversity issues or how the industry could do better. This is for regular folks who like to talk about movies.
