Politics vs. Policy investigates public policy issues through a diverse variety of political lenses. It is designed on the notion that policy does not equate politics, although the two cannot be fully separated. With the exposure of policies in the new media being highly politicised, we believe that analysing policy issues using diverse perspectives becomes more relevant than ever. Politics vs. Policy aims to curate its discussions around the policymaking processes and outcomes with the political climate and alternatives as significant considerations. Our hope is that our discussions are not only left as critiques, but also offer a bigger picture of how policy shapes and is shaped by different political agendas and therefore, what it means to us as a part of the society. Our vision is for the young listeners to shift away from the ‘us vs. them’ into a ‘politics vs. policy’ mindset, adopting empathy without leaving objectivity.
