The Next Great American Chef (NGAC) is a national, twice-a-month, podcast that profiles rising chefs in cities and towns across the United States. NGAC focuses on up-and-coming chefs who have not yet won major culinary awards, but could receive those awards and accolades in the near future. The Next Great American Chefs are selected by panels of expert judges, including acclaimed professionals, and locals from each city. Each episode will include the featured chef's backstory, food philosophy, and creative approach. In addition, episodes discuss the local food scene and trends, identify Honorable Mention Rising Chefs, and include input from local food critics and bloggers. The audience for this podcast includes those who are passionate about food and travel, as well as those who want to learn about new chefs and new restaurants not only in their city, but in the cities they may be planning to visit.
