The rough spots are punctuated by a distinct lack of respect for women. A woman’s desire to be seen and revered as whole humans, rather than mere objects of desire and ownership, is still a struggle. This societal mindset not only holds women back economically while also endangeringtheir safety. Society, in general, has allowed access to women in the way that the white patriarchy has entitlement to the strongest civil rights, and economic access to the pillars of our institutions.
