Working at Louisiana Farm Bureau, my coworkers and I get to travel the state telling stories for farmers on our TV show, This Week In Louisiana Agriculture. What we’ve found is that there are a lot of interesting aspects that don’t make it into the finished story you see on the show. This podcast is our way to more fully tell that story. Our hope is that you better understand the issues farmers face every single day, and that he or she isn’t much different from you and I. We want this podcast to introduce you to the person that’s not only that farmer, but the parent, the spouse, the conservationist, the volunteer fireman, the mechanic, the church deacon, the community leader who spends their days working the land growing the food and fiber that we depend on everyday. On each episode, we’ll have a conversation with a farmer to discuss life on and around his or her farm. It is simply a chat with farmers about their farm and how they got to where they are today.
