The Ideal Gas Law explains the relationship between four key properties of a gas: pressure, volume, temperature, and the amount of gas. It is represented by the equation:



Here, P stands for pressure, V for volume, n for the number of moles, R is the universal gas constant, and T is the temperature measured in Kelvin.

According to this law, if the temperature of a gas increases while the volume remains constant, the pressure also increases. Similarly, if the volume increases while the temperature stays the same, the pressure decreases.

Although no real gas behaves perfectly under all conditions, the Ideal Gas Law provides an excellent approximation for many gases at normal temperatures and pressures. It is widely used in science, engineering, weather forecasting, and industrial applications.
