About

The Asian Games, abbreviated as “Asiad”, is a major event in the Asian sporting world. Held once every four years, it is also an important goal for Hong Kong athletes. At the last Asian Games in Guangzhou, Hong Kong team won a record-breaking eight gold medals, showing that Hong Kong athletes have established an increasingly important position in the Asian sporting world. For the sports world in Hong Kong, the focus of this year, of course, falls on the 17th Asian Games to be held in Incheon, South Korea in late September. The presence of the Asian Games symbolises the rise of the Asian powers. In the 6 new episodes of “Glamour of Sports”, apart from witnessing the rise of Asia through the history of the Asian Games in episode 1, we will focus on the sports Hong Kong people are most interested in, such as cycling, table tennis, track and field, fencing and wushu, in the remaining five episodes. We will use a documentary format to follow up on the local rookies emerging in recent years, showing how they prepare for the Asian Games, fight until the end and give full play to sportsmanship.
