Episode 2 - Adam Mohamed In this episode, Woodalph is joined by Adam Mohamed.  They take a trip down memory lane and reflect on some of their favorite games and consoles growing up all while going head to head in a heated Super Smash Bro’s match!  Adam is an After School Counselor and tells us a bit about his experience working with kids and how video games have enabled him to connect with them as well as the role gaming can play in bringing people together. They also discuss their larger goals in the present and the future and the practical ways in which video games can make a difference in the lives of kids.  Adam talks about his journey, what has led him to the career he has today, and how his experiences have shaped his perspective on the lives of today’s youth as well as what they have to offer to their communities and broader society. Woodalph goes on to explain the uses of Play Therapy and how they can be translated to gaming.  Even today, video games can be stigmatized by many people but, a more positive view of the medium needs to be promoted in order to show the benefits of it as a hobby and its therapeutic and educational purposes.  Finally, Adam shares some of the personal impacts of gaming on his life and how he thinks it can do the same for others. Episode 1 - Interview with ‘beatsbysaber’ In this episode, Woodalph talks with John, otherwise known as ‘BeatsBySaber’ an exciting new gaming content creator focused primarily on the VR smash hit Beat Saber.  He is incredibly skilled with the game and if you’ve seen his videos, you’ll know that he is absolutely mesmerizing to watch!  He has also been involved in a number of Beat Saber tournaments and tells us what it’s like from a competition standpoint and dealing with the pressure of performing in front of an audience. John goes in depth about his gaming background and what draws him to rhythm-based experiences.   We discuss his take on modern gaming, the practical applications, the cultural impact, and the future potential of the industry as a whole.  John was a total pleasure to interview and I think you’re going to really enjoy it!
