If you have been watching social media lately, you might have noticed the same video clips appearing on many different accounts. This is often the work of a clipping campaign. A Clipping Company helps brands and creators turn one long video into many short clips. These clips get posted across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube by a large group of people. It is a new way to get attention without spending a fortune on traditional ads.
Understanding the Clipping Company Pricing Model
Most clipping campaigns do not use a flat fee. Instead, they use a “pay-per-view” model. This means you only pay when a clip gets seen. The standard measurement for this is CPM, which stands for Cost Per Thousand views. According to industry data, most campaigns pay between $1 and $5 per 1,000 views . Some campaigns can even run as low as $0.20 per thousand views for specific niches . This is much cheaper than traditional digital advertising, where CPMs often reach double digits. For example, a recent campaign for MrBeast offered creators **$2 for every 1,000 views** . A single $5,000 influencer post might reach about the same number of people as 500 individual clips . This shows why the per-view model is so attractive.
What Are the Minimums for a Clipping Campaign?
You might think you need a huge budget to start. That is not always true. The minimum cost depends on where you run your campaign.
Marketplace Campaigns
If you use a marketplace like Whop, you can start with a smaller budget. Some campaigns have budgets starting around $1,000 . The platform acts as a middleman. You set the rate and the budget, and clippers come to you. This is a good way to test the waters.
Managed Clipping Agencies
If you want a team to handle everything for you, the minimum goes up. A managed Clipping Company often requires a monthly retainer. One report showed that some agencies charge between $2,500 and $10,000 per month as a base fee . On top of that, you still pay for the views the clips generate.
Direct Deals
You can also work directly with “elite clippers.” These are people who run many accounts with large followings. They often ask for a guaranteed monthly payment, called a retainer. This can range from $500 to $1,500 a month . This ensures they will post for you regularly.
How the Billing Process Works
The billing process for clipping is usually very clear. You do not pay upfront for a set number of views. Instead, you pay after the views are counted. Most campaigns have a minimum view threshold. This means a single clip must get at least 1,000 views before it counts . If a clip gets 999 views, it might not earn anything. Once a clip passes that threshold, every additional view adds to the payout. There is also usually a total campaign minimum. Your group of clippers must reach a combined number of views, often around 25,000, before any money is released . This protects the brand from paying tiny amounts for clips that do not perform. Payments are typically sent after the campaign ends. The platform or agency reviews the posts to make sure they are still live and follow the rules. Then, the sponsor approves the final numbers, and the money is sent.
What Do You Get for the Cost?
When you pay a Clipping Company, you are not just buying views. You are buying a presence on social media. The goal is to make your content feel like it is everywhere. Clipping campaigns are seen as a high-ROI format. In 2026, up to 77% of marketers said short-form video was their number one format for return on investment . Short-form videos also generate over 200 billion daily views on platforms like YouTube Shorts . This volume is why clipping works. One video from a brand might get lost. But 500 clips from different accounts create a wave of attention that is hard to ignore.
Risks and Hidden Costs to Watch For
While the pricing is simple, there are a few things to keep in mind to avoid waste.Bought views are a real problem. Because you pay per view, some bad actors might use bots to make a clip look popular. Most platforms have rules against this. Whop, for example, only counts views it judges to be real . If you see a clip with 300,000 views but only 200 likes, that is a red flag .Disclosure rules are another consideration. If a clipper is paid to post your content, they are supposed to tell their audience. In the US, the FTC requires clear disclosure when there is a connection between the poster and the brand . A good Clipping Company will train its clippers to include labels like #ad or #sponsored.
Contact Us to Start Your Campaign
If you are ready to see how clipping can work for your brand, we can help. You can start small on a marketplace or invest in a managed service. The key is the pay-per-view model, which keeps your risk low. You only pay when people actually watch. With the right strategy, a Clipping Company can help you reach millions of eyes for a fraction of the cost of traditional ads.
