City Church Nottingham are based in Selston, Nottinghamshire. We are dedicated to the great commission of Jesus Christ in Mark 16:15-20, which is to 'Go into all the world and preach the Gospel.' We have preached in the open air in Nottingham, Mansfield, and Bulwell among others for over 7 years, now God has called us to the village of Selston and its surrounding areas. Russ Clarke is an Elder with Ryan Clarke serving as a Pastor. We believe everyone who is born again is a minister of Jesus Christ and is called to witness and function in the gift that God has given them, and it is also a major part of this ministry to help people find their ministry and nurture them. The Gospel has largely been reduced to a humanistic, social gospel with man at the centre rather than God and we are in the time of the Laodicean lukewarm Church as spoken of in Revelation 3 which is also a time of preaching that tickles ears and fosters errors of its leading teachers. (2 Timothy 4:3f). Jesus emphasized the need of the Gospel to be preached (Luke 4:43) and we desire to obey Him. We desire truth and the power of the Holy Spirit in our individual and corporate ministry, with a heart to pray and seek God for a revival in this our ungodly generation.
