Core Mechanics: Mastering Offense and Defense

Success on the blacktop requires balancing a high-scoring offense with an iron-clad defense. The touch or mouse-swipe controls are intuitive but offer a high skill ceiling.

Offensive Tactics

• The Perfect Shot: When shooting, a bar appears on the screen. Releasing your swipe exactly in the green zone guarantees a perfect swish, granting bonus points.
• The Fake Out: Swipe left or right quickly before shooting to perform a crossover or side-step. This misdirects your opponent, forcing basketball stars them to jump the wrong way and leaving you with an open shot.

Defensive Tactics

• The Block: Wait for your opponent to actually leave the ground before you swipe up to jump. If you jump too early on a fake, they will easily slide past you.
• The Steal: Swipe down when the ball is exposed during a dribble. Timing is crucial; an unsuccessful steal leaves you temporarily vulnerable.
