In this introduction episode, Kelvin Pendleton opens the door to the heart behind his upcoming book, You Were Always Enough.
This is not just a “here’s what my book is about” episode. It is more honest than that. Kelvin shares how the book started from conversations, social media posts, and the quiet question many people carry: what do we do when we give all we can and still feel like we are falling short?
As the writing process unfolded, something unexpected happened. The book began speaking back to him. The same questions he might ask someone in counseling, coaching, or ministry became questions he had to sit with for himself. That changed the book, and it changed the way he understood his own patterns around performance, perfectionism, pressure, and identity.
In this episode, Kelvin talks about why perfectionism is not always about trying to be flawless. Sometimes it looks like trying to be dependable, excellent, humble, responsible, and strong, while quietly wondering if any of it is enough.
This episode sets the tone for the series, the book, and the deeper conversation ahead. It is for the person who has worked hard to become what others needed, but may be ready to rediscover who they were created to be.
