An awful despot named Herod tried to eliminate Jesus by slaughtering all of the children in Bethlehem who were two years old and under. Why couldn't he have dropped dead before charging his soldiers with this heinous command? How could the soldiers carry it out? Why does God allow such unrestrained evil to occur?
