I started The Soft Tissue Revolution with one main goal, To Solve The Pain Pill Epidemic by helping people that are injured and in pain get access to quality hands-on soft tissue treatment. Hands-on soft tissue treatment is clearly the best and most effective conservative treatment modality out there and is the key to keeping people from bigger problems down the road, like injections, pain pills, and surgeries that only make things worse. I also knew massage therapists were the key to helping along with this mission because they have the best hands in the world when it comes to palpation and soft tissue treatments, but they are plagued with their own limiting beliefs and not being taken seriously as a healthcare provider. It broke my heart the other day when I saw overdose deaths from opioids were up 30 percent in 2020, that's an absolutely tragic statistic. I have been all-in on the importance of getting quality hands-on soft tissue treatment, delivered by massage therapists, to the world so people don't have to end up on pain pills. In this episode I go over the importance of massage therapists stepping up in the treatment space, helping to crush some of their limiting beliefs, and changing their identity from "just a massage therapist," to a Soft Tissue Injury Specialist!
