infp: why does it feel like you're disconnected from the person you're going to be in five years?

It’s a concept called Future Self Continuity. For most of us, our future self feels like a complete stranger. And because they feel like "someone else," we don't feel like putting in the work to help them. We’d rather take the easy path today and let that "other person" deal with the consequences tomorrow.

If you’re an INFP, this is exactly why you struggle with consistency. We lead with our values (your feelings), but if those values aren't bonded to your future self, you'll keep making choices that keep you stuck.

In this video, we break down how to bridge that gap. We talk about using your intuition to stop treating your future like a fantasy and start treating it like a responsibility.

Your future self can't walk away from your current choices.
