What is freedom and who is allowed to be free? I hear all these people when talking about the COVID-19 vaccine that it’s their body and their choice and that they have a right to not get vaccinated. And I agree that technically that’s true. Does that mean that it’s right for us as a whole and the greater society? We have to get out of this selfish mentality. It’s not about me as an individual. Or you as an individual. It’s about us as a whole. We are in the midst of a global pandemic, a health crisis like we’ve never seen and we have people complaining about wearing masks and politicizing vaccinations. I don’t know that I’ve felt as let down by so many Americans as I have in this moment that we are living through. Are we screaming about our freedoms when we want to walk barefoot or shirtless through a mall or grocery store? No we put on shoes and a shirt. Do we scream about our freedoms everytime we put a seatbelt on? So what freedoms are we speaking of? No one is telling you to take a vaccine to hold you hostage or take away your quote freedom.
