What Does The Bible Say?

Religion & Spirituality

In this episode, Arnie and Fred talk about Jesus's betrayal by Judas Iscariot and the trial that followed. We notice that Judas collaborated with the chief priests which had been prophesied by David in one of his Psalms and was fulfilled in Gethsemane. We talk about the 30 pieces of silver that Judas received, the prophesy concerning it and the significance of the amount. We note the number of times that Jesus stood before the Jewish officials and the Roman authorities. There were a number of false accusers that faced Jesus and we note the prophesy relating to them. Jesus offered no defense against these false accusations and again there is a prophesy in the Old Testament relating to this situation. Finally we look at the abuse that Jesus endured at the hands of the Jewish rulers as well as the Roman soldiers and the prophecy concerning these actions.
