What Does The Bible Say?

Religion & Spirituality

In this episode, we continue our discussion of what the Bible says about becoming a new creature or a new creation, as some translations say. We begin by talking about the Christians at Colossae and Paul's description of the new lifestyle that they were to begin when they became Christians. They were to seek those things above and put to death or put off the behaviors that were contrary to their new lifestyle in Christ. Paul notes the difference in the behavior of the new Christians in Corinth. And we ask if each one of us also manifests such a change. We continue by talking about John's admonition to not love the world and the things in the world and what that entails. Both Paul and James encourage us to love the things of Christ instead. We end this episode by noting how steadfast the saved ones were in their worship in spirit and in truth in the first century. Take about 30 minutes to follow our discussion.
