FIT 40 Radio- find lifelong fitness one interview, one workout, and one race at a time as we explore Maine and New England.
I caught up with Theo Berez- the Penobscot Bay YMCA's Wellness director to discuss her role in helping people find lifelong fitness. We discuss designing programs for young skiers to helping a 92 year old rehab after knee surgery, and just about everything in between. Theo shares her philosophy on training the athlete first, then train for the sport, and finally the position in order to build total body balance and your body awareness in space. She also discussed the the importance of movement IQ and how we can improve it and subsequently our coordination.
