Week One of RGV High School Football is in the books and there were plenty of surprises and fantastic match-ups in the first weekend. In the second Episode of Spiked! ADB chats with 956Prep's Jake Berry about Week 1 with a look ahead to Week Two's top match-ups. This week's 1-on-1 interview takes us to Bobcat country in Edinburg where ADB sits down with Edinburg High School Head Football Coach JJ Leija. The longtime RGV football assistant and baseball coach took over his alma mater four years ago and has led the 'Cats to the playoffs for three straight years. JJ talks to us about taking over his alma mater as his first head coaching job, what it means to bring the Bobcats back to respectability, and what he learned coaching under names like Bruce Bush, Freddy Hernandez and Oscar Salinas.
