You are a member of the Outer Space Fail Force: Nearly infinite planning has gone into your ambitious mission. And yet, something always seems to go terribly, terribly wrong in space. Here’s the problem: The onboard artificial intelligence malfunctioned and turned hostile, threatening your mission to Mars. You have to convince the AI of the goodness of humanity before it opens all of the spaceship airlocks. Your five random story elements are: Gracefully floating in zero-gravity, a fistful of dryer lint, hieroglyphs written in fake blood, a metal spatula that orbited the Earth, and a supervillain you are clearly not equipped to deal with. Pick three of them, imagine how you will solve the problem, and craft your story. Bonus points for imaginative and hilarious solutions.
