If you have these types of symptoms like dull pain in back or side, fever, and upper stomach pain then you might have kidney cysts. So you may have to consult your doctor. Let's talk about what causes kidney cysts. Researchers don't know what causes this but theory suggests that kidney cyst develops when the surface layer of the kidney is weakened and forms a pouch. Some are the risk factors of kidney cysts like Polycystic kidney disease, Chronic disease (CKD), Von Hippel-Lindau disease, Tuberous sclerosis complex(TSC).
