Did you ever learn how to breathe? Did you ever think it was necessary? In this episode, Tommy Brophy and I dive deep into the respiratory system and how it affects our well-being. Tommy has Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic disease causing excessive fluid buildup in the lungs, which impairs normal lung function. Tommy brought the CF walk, a national event held in various places throughout the country, to the University of Maryland. Last year the walk was able to raise over $60k for CF research, helping to extend and improve the lives of those with CF. I'll post a link to donate or sign up to walk on Facebook and Instagram, as well as additional information on how better breathing leads to better lives, for those with and without CF.
