With a brief slow down in Canadian politics we have time to discuss Texas' new abortion restriction, and the impact it has on the population as a whole. With incentives to snitch on fellow citizens, arbitrary 6 week measures used to determine when it becomes illegal and a particular impact on the poor population within Texas, is it really worth the reported "drop" in abortions across the state? As well later today (date of posting) Justin Trudeau is set to announce a new federal mandate Canada wide to enforce all federal employees, railway workers and airline staff, along with anyone riding a train or airplane within Canada to be fully vaccinated. This is the first time we have seen the federal government mandate any sort of Covid policy, outside of the border closures and it was a major campaign promise in the recent election. Will there be any fallout from this choice or will it benefit the population?
