This passage has been misused in so many ways! To justify violence: Hey, Jesus did it. So can I! To justify outrage: Hey, even Jesus flew off the handle sometimes. So don't get on my case if sound off on social media sometimes! Somebody’s gotta tell it like it is. It’s also been dismissed as simply an unrepeatable historical event that doesn’t have any principle or application to our Monday lives.
