To say I was inspired by today’s guest would be an understatement…   When it comes to spontaneous healing, skepticism abounds. Doctors are taught that “miraculous” recoveries are flukes, and as a result they don’t study those cases or take them into account when treating patients. Enter Dr. Jeff Rediger, who has spent over 15 years studying spontaneous healing, pioneering the use of scientific tools to investigate recoveries from incurable illnesses.   Maybe you guessed it already...I found today’s guest on goop, well the goop podcast, and I literally emailed him as I was listening because I knew I needed to talk to him myself.    His thoughtfulness and approach to wellness is right up our alley here on How We’ll Live and not to mention caring for our immune systems is pretty timely!    My favorite part though is pillar four...healing our identity and healing our soul -- a surprising connection to our physical health,  which we talk about near the end of the episode.  Jeffrey Rediger, MD, MDiv, is on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, the Medical Director of McLean SE Adult Psychiatry and Community Affairs at McLean Hospital, and the Chief of Behavioral Medicine at Good Samaritan Medical Center. A licensed physician and board-certified psychiatrist, he also has a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. His research with remarkable individuals who have recovered from illnesses considered incurable has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Oz Shows, among others. He has been nominated for the National Bravewell Leadership Award, and has received numerous awards related to leadership and patient care. During our chat we talk about   The intersection of science and miracles when it comes to spontaneous healing and how the definition of miracles is shifting in our consciousness  Rediscovering the center of wellbeing and true healing The importance of our immune system for our overall health  How critical it is to listen to our bodies & recognizing our own needs  The difference between good stress & bad stress How our choices and lifestyles cause inflammatory diseases which are some of the biggest killers of our time  How he used stories of spontaneous remission sses stories and science to help  The four pillars of healing and wellbeing:  healing your immune system healing your nutrition healing your stress response  healing your identity   Get in Touch with Dr. Jeffrey Rediger: Website Instagram   Stay in Touch with Me: Instagram Website
