The Problem of Evil and the Suffering of God

In this episode, I compare two perspectives of God: (1) that God experiences suffering; (2) that God does not suffer, and (3) that God suffers by a different quality than humans do. I use two authors: Paul Gavrilyuk (The Suffering of the Impassible God) and Jurgen Moltmann (The Crucified God). Throughout the episode, I present several questions that are naturally assumed with this study: The Problem of Evil--if God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving, why is there evil in the world? If God suffers as I suffer, how does that project who God is for the better or for the worse? If God does not suffer, can He really be said to "mediate" for the human? Many of these questions and more are wrestled within this episode.
