In this episode of Lil' Talks host Lily talks to Sophie Brook and Tamzin Howard about the One Child Policy. The One Child Policy was a law in China which limited the number of children any given family could have, mostly to one, hence the name. A consequence of that policy was an influx in baby girls being abandoned, children who usually either died in orphanage’s, or be adopted out of the country. Sophie and Tammy where both adopted out of chinese orphanages and into british families after their parents watched a documentary called the dying rooms, which we discuss in the podcast.
