The NFL's sending some strong statements. ? The media went after Urban Meyer and most recently, Jon Gruden lost his head coaching job due to offensive remarks he wrote in an e-mail nearly a decade ago. ? Two Points…1) At what point has enough time past for us not to hold incentive remarks against someone? And 2), Should we be punished for remarks made in private just because someone else leaked them without our permission? ? Also, the NFL announced that their next Super Bowl Halftime show will include Snoop Dog (arrested for possession of drugs and connection to murder), Dr Dre (known history of beating women), Eminem (known history of degrading lyrics about homosexuals and women)…that’s okay? ? Maybe the message is that they hold their players and coaches to a higher standard? But even so, isn’t that message contradicting? Because if there is a “higher standard” that they want to promote and live by, what’s up with that halftime lineup? Your thoughts?
