In Episode 2 of Christ and Culture we explore Jesus meeting an insider and an outsider. In John 3 we meet Nicodemus and he had everything you could want. He had power, respect, and was a religious insider. In John 4 we meet the Samaritan woman at the well and she was an outsider in every way possible. She was a heretic, a Samaritan and was a sinner. Both Nicodemus and the Woman at the Well both looked for satisfaction in the wrong place. Jesus comes to tell us and them that the answers we seek and the satisfaction that we crave must come from Him.
