All hands on deck! For this double feature, we need everyone we can get! The whole team is here for this week’s Criterion Break, as they all had the opportunity to take in two vastly different, but both very “different,” movies that screen at The Sioux Falls State Theatre. While Neon’s latest release is not actually in the Criterion Collection (yet) it seemed right to cover Julia Ducournau’s Titane. This year’s Palm D’Or winner has the pedigree and the potential to be a future entry into the Collection. The second half of the double feature is the 1977 cult classic, Nobuhiko Obayashi’s House (Hausu). We cover Titane in depth, still reeling from the nee release days later, and then wrap it up with our reaction to the madness that is House. SPOILER ALERT: we dive deep into the new release Titane with full spoilers from 30:00 all the way to 1:17:48.Andy can be found across social media at:Facebook - Fat Dude Digs FlicksInstagram - FatDudeDigsFlicksTwitter - FatDudeFlicksLetterboxd - Fat Dude FlicksBlake (therealjohng) AND Derrick (dervdude) can both be found online as a part of:Facebook - Back Lot 605Instagram - BackLot605Twitter - BackLot605www.BackLot605.comLetterboxd profiles noted in parentheses.Blake also moonlights on the SLASHLOT podcast, wherever your catch your pods.Watch for Derrick on Back Lot’s social media on Monday’s for the Box Office Round-Up.Subscribe to this podcast and the Back Lot 605 podcast on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher Radio, or wherever you get your podcasts.
