This week a man wielding a knife showed up at Premiere Doug Ford's house and damaged multiple neighbor's vehicles on route to a confrontation with police. This is a big change in Canada as there haven't been many major attempts on the lives of politicians, and the police Chief has admitted worry that this may be the start of more to come. Also this week the Catholic Church in the US held meetings to determine whether or not to allow politicians (such as president Joe Biden) who support federal funding for abortions, to receive holy communion. This raises bigger questions on the right of the church to use their power to control the president and other politicians professional stances. Should they be allowed to remain tax free if they use their position to influence the president?
