It may be a good idea to talk about John Keel's Men in Black (MIB) reported at the time of the Mothman.  My mother and father back in the early 70’s, were in Linville and decided to see the lights. They stopped at the lookout on the road and a few cars pulled in. Later a car driving by slowed down and pulled in. It was woman, she asked them if they wanted to go see the lights. Everyone got in their cars and followed the woman. She drove a short ways and turned on a dirt path. They followed it to a spot. There was a drop off in front of them. The woman said that this is where the army studied the lights. She left and as it got dark, lights started rising out of the drop off. My mom was scared. Daddy swears they looked like the glow off of cigarettes. They glowed more than gave off light.
