Peace is a precious thing. Some define peace as an absence of conflict. However, peace is more than that. The Jewish people use the word "shalom" to define peace. Shalom means a total state of ease, free from stress, strife, and conflict. The word is used as a greeting and as a departing blessing. Peace is a good thing. I want peace in my relationships, in my community, and in the world. The good news is that God wants to give you his peace.
