It's All Mental

Miscellaneous

Have you ever felt that you were taking on the responsibility of someone else’s wrong?  This could be from a partner, a friend, or a coworker.  It is easy to feel like it is our fault.  Sometimes this is because the other person is gas lighting us or making us feel guilty ourselves, or sometimes the other person is outright pointing the blame on us.  But regardless of why we are shouldering this weight that is not ours to carry, we have to examine why we are accepting this responsibility. Sometimes we have to step back and take a look at what is going on.  Where is our mindset at?  Are we walking in confidence and are we sure we are in the right?  If so then we need to have a shift in our thinking which will result in a change in our words and actions.  We should not accept blame for something that we did not have a part in.  Sometimes others can pressure us into circumstances that are false. The only thing you should be taking accountability for is your own actions, thoughts, and words.  How are you responding to situations, how are you reacting, or not reacting?  Be authentic with yourself and have a hard but necessary conversation with yourself to determine where you are at.    -- Topics Discussed: Taking on the responsibility of others’ wrongdoings. Why it’s easy to accept accountability from others. Examining your confidence level. How our thinking changes our actions. -- Connect with us!
