2000 years ago, a young couple nursed a newborn child, and celebrated that first Christmas in isolation; far away from friends and family. Their country lived in fear and weeping was heard on the streets. We are not the first to know a cancelled Christmas. “But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” Luke 2: 10 We have reason for sorrow, but we have more reason for hope.
