At the start of the story, Master Shifu advises Po to pass on his Dragon Warrior title to a successor. However, Po is not yet willing to give it up. Instead, he embarks on a new journey to locate a dangerous individual called the Chameleon, who has malevolent intentions of accessing the spirit world. Po teams up with a cunning thief fox named Zhen, who has information on the Chameleon's whereabouts.
