The word Hanuman refers to the name of Lord Hanuman and the word Chalisa refers to the 40 verses that are included in this devotional hymn. This devotional hymn in praise of Lord Hanuman Ji is been written by 16th-century great Bhakta and Saint Tulsidas Ji Maharaj, who is best known for writing Ramcharitmanas.
