In the wake of black twitter coming at brands and celebrities for their racist adverts/ comments, there has been an increase in the number of people calling out others, mostly on twitter, on the horrendous things they have done? We explore if cancel culture has any repercussions beyond becoming a pariah on social media platforms? We also discuss a few of the local organisations/ celebrities that have been cancelled recently and the events that led to that uproar.
