Juniper Bloom: Wishing Wands Chapter 4 Wishing On A Ball Of Fluff by Shelly Bond Hello, Friends, I am bringing a segment onto the podcast to share my love for children's literature. You don't have to be a child to enjoy this story. Get comfy, settle in and enjoy the imagination and heart of Juniper. Juniper Bloom: Wishing Wands features a heart-centered, eight-year-old, aspiring writer with dyslexia and autism and the real obstacles she overcomes with her family. With a powerful message to bring acceptance, love, and self-compassion for where we are in life. Juniper journeys towards learning her self worth doesn't come from others. With many superpowers, a photographic memory, and listening with her heart helps her connect to the earth in her own way. She doesn't let names tell her who she is and what she can do. More than anything Juniper wants to go camping, only she makes a mistake and gets lost in the forest with her little brother. Nature doesn't care if you are “special” or not, mother nature will stop for nothing. Juniper is forced to discover a part of her she never knew she had. Here’s the story, I don’t know much about autism, only it’s called a spectrum and there are different ways it is in people. I think a spectrum is like a field of wildflowers. When you look across you can see all different shapes and colors, some smell good and other smell terrible. When you close your eyes you can feel how they feel. Some are bright and beautiful, and some hide in the shade. Some drink lots of water, others don't need much at all. Some are straight and some are curved, some are soft and some are prickly. The field is bigger than my eyes can see. Inside of the field thinking thoughts dont matter. What's inside of our hearts is what makes us special.
