Scott Gomez was  selected with the 27th pick of the first round by the New Jersey Devils In the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, When he made his debut  in the 1999–2000 NHL season, he made history becoming not only the first Alaska-born player in NHL History, but the first Latino as well, he would go on to play 16 years in the NHL for New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, San Jose Sharks, Florida Panthers, St. Louis Blues and Ottawa Senators, and spent time as an assistant coach for the New York Islanders, He currently is the host of his own  web show on YouTube entitled, "Scotty's House"which focuses on his adventures in his house in Alaska.
