We all experience Christmas differently. Whether it is time with family or time away from family, our understanding of Christmas has been formed over the course of our lives. For Chrissy and me, we are now just getting to a point of understanding Christmas as a time to truly take in the magnitude of Jesus' birth and how it transforms our lives. On this podcast, we discuss why we think that so often in the battle between Santa and Jesus, Santa wins. We get so wrapped up (no pun intended) in buying gifts for everyone else, that we forget to bring our gifts to the one whose birthday we're celebrating. Overall, it is difficult to reconcile American and Christian Christmas because it means we have to ask ourselves difficult questions about which one is more important to us.
