Sabotaging Self Care You decided on a morning or bedtime routine that you just know is going to propel you in the right direction in your personal life and your goals. Then, every day you’re disappointed in yourself because you didn’t do any of it? Perhaps it’s not about motivation or willpower at all. Are you feeding your soul with spending time with your tribe? Wait what? Typically self care practices are done in isolation … meditation, abhyanga, journaling … If you are constantly spending your non-work time alone, your subconscious will often rebel against creating habits that equal more alone time. Start squeezing in 1-2 times per week when you spend quality time with a friend or potential friend. You may then feel more inspired to start or expand your self care routines.
