Well that was not the result the Omaha Mavericks had hoped for heading into a two-game weekend at North Dakota. The losses took Omaha out of the running to the top seed in the NCHC and gave the University of North Dakota the Penrose Cup. Nebraska-Omaha has two games left over two weeks and is looking to move up the conference ladder for a better seed heading into the conference tournament.
