Meet Ray Fernandez: Black Belt, CrossFit Seminar Staff for Adaptive and Injured Athletes, certified Level II CrossFit coach, CrossFit Kids instructor, USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach and Co-Owner of CrossFit 1904. Ray attributes his current path to his work at a nursing home, where he worked his way up from a dishwasher to a line cook. But at the time, he couldn't see himself being a cook. So he stepped into a position in Maintenance, where he applied his knowledge of functional movement and living. After about 8 years, he re-evaluated where he was and decided that he wanted to pursue a career in the fitness industry as a strength and conditioning coach. In this interview we're talking about How to make money doing what you love How Ray got his start working with the Adaptive community How he programs for his Adaptive athletes and how that programming was developed The importance of connection and community and how to cultivate that How passion leads him in his every day life ....and so much more!
