In this podcast episode, host Anna Parker-Naples is joined by Dan Hulbert and Amy Rowlinson, and together they discuss the impact of limiting beliefs on property businesses. The most common limiting beliefs they detect were consistently linked to money, the fear of failure and rejection, Imposter Syndrome, the need for perfection or a lack of experience and knowledge. They discuss how the overstimulated mind reacts to being constantly bombarded with information every second, how all that information is subsequently processed and how each individual will experience events through their own unique filter. They recommend a route to achieving fast results and clear any limiting beliefs which is to work with an NLP Coach to change the language you use and switch your thinking to enable you to move forward in your property journey. Another tool suggested is journalling, recommending keeping two journals; a success journal where you record all the wins and a second journal where you record your stream of consciousness. You then become more aware of your language that you use every day in both written and verbal form. Dan Hulbert is a Property Developer, Coach and Mentor with 15 years’ practitioner experience having started on the tools and then built his own portfolio. A builder’s knowledge combined with an investor’s mindset.
