Guerreras began as a Latina women collective in Chico, CA - a consciousness-raising initiative. The objective was to build a community where Latinas felt empowered and understood. Additionally, it was so Latinas could find other Latinas they could relate to or find support from. Today, I am introducing Guerreras as a podcast so that the message of political empowerment, civic education, and feminism can stretch far and wide.
