Shane grew up in a Christian home that was involved in the fellowship of evangelical Baptists. He grew up in a time where he did what everybody else did to get along. He toed the line by following the denomination standards so that you got into heaven. Eventually, he saw a lot of hypocrisy in the church. Then, as a barkeep, he saw those people come into the bar and get wasted on Saturday night, mess around, do whatever they felt like, and then show up on Sunday and play the game. Shane didn't want to play the game. He walked away from the church and chose to live his life, occasionally walking down a dark road. His faith has been on a steady decline from 2000 to approximately 2011. He found solace in alternative news reporting. In 2011, he revisited his faith, confessing to everything that he had going on in his life. He began searching and providing a Christian perspective on alternative media, which sparked his curiosities, asking pastors about fringe topics like cryptozoology, Hollow Earth, Angels, Demons, ghosts, and supernatural things. These pastors did not have any answers. They didn't want to talk about those things. But Why? Shane found a correlation between the things that the pastors don't want to talk about and the movies/television shows broadcast across mass media. Shane believes that good pastors should have answers, whether convenient or not. First, to handle the complex topics and give people a reasonable explanation. Second, not be intellectually lazy and care enough about the people to discuss the more profound issues. As a lack thereof, Shane has searched on those deeper topics for many years. Shane has appeared on the TV Docu-series The Devil You Know, which a review of Sherry Shriner and her ministry.
